SPECIAL NEEDS ASSISTANT

FOR CHILD SPECIFIC CONTRACT

Pay Scale 3 or 4 (depending on experience)

27.5 hours per week x 40 weeks per annum (term time only – 9.00 a.m. – 3.15 p.m.)

or

20.00 hours per week (term time only – 9.00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual willing to ‘go the extra mile’ in supporting SEN children throughout the school.

Ideally you will have experience of working with pupils with learning needs, but more importantly you will be willing to learn and engage with school staff and parents.

Duties will include support for the child’s learning in the class and in the playground, in groups and on an individual basis. The successful candidate will assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans.

You will need to be confident that you can establish firm boundaries and routines in line with the school’s Behaviour Policy. An excellent work ethic and the ability to show initiative are required, together with Level 2 English and Maths.
