ABC Teachers are working with a Residential SEND School in Derbyshire who are looking for a Residential Support Worker to start immediately.

You must be available for an interview on 13th/14th November

The school has residential students with various special needs and disabilities which require a support time outside of the school hours.

In order to be considered for an interview you must have one of the following (essential):

Level 3 in Childcare in Education

Level 3 in Childcare and Young People

BTEC Diploma in Social Care

Advanced Diploma: Children & Young People

You will need to have previous experience as a support worker to SEN / ASD Children.

You must have the ability to observe and keep a clear written record, be able to maintain positive relationships with the students and have the ability to cope well under pressure and while dealing with challenging behaviour.

You must have an in date enhanced DBS which is also on the update service.

We will require references covering the last 2 years in full and an up to date CV which cover the last 10 years.

Shifts will be on a 3 week rota basis, covering split shifts and be able to work a varied rota of night shifts during term time which will have the possibility of  sleep in shifts.

Candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview to register; we will need to gain two references either academic or professional and hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you).
