Corby Business Academy Unit Provision is rated outstanding by the local authority and provides the Secondary Specialist Provision for students with Severe to Moderate Learning Difficulties and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and ASD for the local area, the equivalent to a Special Needs School. We are an Academy with excellent facilities. The Academy’s Unit Provision is able to address the needs of 75 students with special educational needs from year 7 to year 13.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic teacher to be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of a highly differentiated multi-sensory curriculum to groups of students across the provision. In addition to this you will play a key role within the Unit to support the academic and social emotional needs of all students.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative and creative team who care passionately for the students in the provision. The curriculum and enrichment programmes for the students are broad and exciting and develop independent living skills.
The opportunities for students include BTEC Vocational Studies Level 1, Entry level Functional Skills, NOCN and AQA Unit Award, residential experiences, working with other special schools, business enterprise events.
