We aim to combine our traditional ethos and culture together with a modern approach to teaching and learning. (Ofsted October 2018) At Batley Grammar School we value staff who take a pride in their work and in the school and who are willing to contribute fully to the life of the school including its extra-curricular programme.  We are part of the Batley Multi Academy Trust, whose sole purpose is to provide an outstanding education through our family of schools. Batley Multi Academy Trust currently comprises Batley Girls’ High School, Upper Batley High School, Batley Grammar School, Healey Junior, Infant and Nursery School and Field Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School.

We are looking for an inspirational teacher, proud to be part of our school community, committed to delivering outstanding provision for our SEND students. The seek to appoint a  candidate who will be a champion and advocate for students with SEND, adopting a forensic approach to securing the best possible outcomes for our SEND students working in close partnership with parents and families.

The successful candidate should be committed to promoting inclusivity, be able to strategically lead a team of people as well as having a good knowledge of best practice and experience with SEND. We are committed to our staff and their development and therefore applications are welcome from candidates with or without SENDCO qualifications, with full training provided. The role will have a 50% reduced timetable.
