Batley Multi Academy Trust currently comprises Batley Girls’ High School, Upper Batley High School, Batley Grammar School, Healey Junior, Infant and Nursery School and Field Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School.

We are looking for an inspirational teacher, proud to be part of our school community, committed to delivering outstanding provision for our SEND students. The seek to appoint a  candidate who will be a champion and advocate for students with SEND, adopting a forensic approach to securing the best possible outcomes for our SEND students working in close partnership with parents and families.

The successful candidate should be committed to promoting inclusivity, be able to strategically lead a team of people as well as having a good knowledge of best practice and experience with SEND. We are committed to our staff and their development and therefore applications are welcome from candidates with or without SENDCO qualifications, with full training provided. The role will have a 50% reduced timetable.

About BGS 

Batley Grammar School was a fee paying HMC independent school which underwent the transition to become a state funded all through 4-18 Free School in September 2011. The NOR has gradually increased over the last four years and is currently 960 (200 pupils in the primary phase) and will grow to approximately 1000 in the next few years to meet the demand for places. Our development has continued in 2019/20 as we joined the Batley Mulit Academy Trust, working with local schools to serve the families in the local community.  Batley Grammar School currently has a five faculty structure: Mathematics and Technology; Science; Creative and Performing Arts; Communications and Discover.   The school has an established reputation for academic progress, good standards of behaviour and extensive extra and co-curricular opportunities.
