This is a unique opportunity for the right individual to join a friendly team providing direct support to a very able student who has a physical disability, assisting with their day-to-day school life and personal care.
The ideal candidate must be organised, with a positive outlook and an empathetic personality. They will need to be physically fit and able to use ICT effectively.
The post-holder will work alongside other specialist LSAs giving a high level of learning support and care, so excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
This position is supported by external funding which will continue for the duration of the student’s time at BGN. The contract will be renewed each academic year for the same duration.
All applicants must be able to demonstrate an empathy for, and understanding of, the Catholic Christian ethos of the school.

Blessed George Napier School is first and foremost a Catholic school where we live and learn and develop as a faith community.
We are a Sports College and since 2007 have Higher Performing School Status and our second designation are in Maths and Computing.
BGN is a Roman Catholic School which aims to be an extension of the Christian home to help parents bring up their children in the Christian tradition. We believe that the religious ethos will be found across the whole school curriculum.

In academic terms, we must help each individual to realise these ideals in a positive way through preparation for, and entry to, examinations at an appropriate level in terms of ability and aptitude.
In social terms, we believe that each and every pupil needs support, care and assistance by whatever means possible. Central to this is the right of every pupil, no matter what the circumstances to her or his good name.
