Job overview

We have recently been graded as a ‘Good’ school in all areas

• “Safeguarding is a strength of the school… An experienced designated safeguarding leader has established a strong safeguarding culture. ”

OFSTED June 2019

Here at Pivot our vision and passion to grow as a company and provider is stronger than ever and this is clearly evidenced by our recent inspection outcome. We remain committed to putting young people at the centre of everything we do and as a result we have achieved phenomenal results with schools, local authorities and most importantly, young people. We pride ourselves on our ability to think outside the box and take comfort in challenging the norms and developing a creative response to need in our specialist areas of special educational needs, pastoral, inclusion and alternative educational services and support. We work with students who display challenging behaviour in certain situations. It is our job to enable them to take responsibility for themselves and to be able to contribute successfully to society.

We are seeking a Social Worker who is resilient, innovative and enthusiastic and who can support our pupils and their families across The Pivot Academy (TPA).  To fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a qualified Social Work post in the Pivot Academy and Educational Consultancy bridging the gap between education and social care.

You will be working closely with young people, their parents and carers and at times client schools, families and settings.

You will be completing assessments and providing advice and support to vulnerable young people and their families, many of who present with complex support needs.

You will be expected to work alongside other agencies and statutory services and will maintain high  standards of professional practice, working at all times in the best interests of our young people and their families.

You will be expected to be registered with the HCPC in order to practice as a Social Worker.
