We are looking for Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Underley Garden in Kirkby Lonsdale.
About the School
The young people who attend Underley Garden all have an EHCP/statement of special educational needs. Underley meets the needs of a range of SEN including; Autism, Learning Difficulties, Mental Health & Medical needs and related behavioural difficulties.

About the Role
We are looking for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist who will take a lead role for the speech and language service at Underley Garden, including working, planning and providing a clinical service for the children and young people in our care who have a wide range of speech, language and communication disorders.

Essential Criteria
Provide specialist assessment, differential diagnosis and implementation of SaLT management to children and young people
Plan and deliver client centred SaLT service to the children and young people
Supervise Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist
Evaluate the outcomes of the assessments and provide advice as appropriate
Dealing with both internal and external professionals and parents / carers
Good communication skills
Compassionate – good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children and young people, other staff remaining sensitive and empathetic
Intuitive and caring nature
Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the children and young people
