ROBERT GORDON’S COLLEGE – SPORTS COACH (FULL-TIME, TEMPORARY)
Robert Gordon’s College currently have an opportunity for a motivated and experienced
sports coach to join its dedicated team of sports staff within the PE Department. The
successful candidate will be actively involved in developing and encouraging sporting talent
by delivering coaching to pupils across the College.
This is a full-time temporary role to start from January 2019 until the end of the 2018/19
session, in the first instance. The role requires a commitment to attendance at weekly
weekend sporting fixtures and some evening work.
Sport is an integral part of everyday life at Robert Gordon’s College. At Gordon's pupils
have the opportunity to participate and excel in a wide variety of sports and are supported in
their sporting endeavours by a growing number of qualified specialist coaches and
The College is fully committed to a wide variety of sports including hockey, rugby and netball
which form part of the core curriculum. In the summer term athletics, cricket and tennis are
a big part of our core curricular programme. The College consistently performs to a high
standard and has gained regular success at local and national level and produced a number
of international performers.
Sports pitches are housed within the College’s enviable Sport and Games facilities located
at our Countesswells site and form part of a purpose-built 40 acre playing field complex
which includes a 360 seater rugby stand and fully equipped pavilion.
Many of our coaches are former sporting professionals who are able to share their
experience and knowledge gained through competition and years of training to inspire and
instil the confidence to succeed.
The candidate will be asked to coach Rugby at a level which is negotiable. Experience and
knowledge in one of our other core activities is desirable.
