Sports Graduate (Prep School)

Ardingly College is seeking to recruit a Sports Graduate and Boarding Assistant to support the Prep Sports department from September 2021 for a fixed-term period of up to 12 months. The role will involve coaching sport and promoting the general progress and well-being of individual pupils as well as supporting the Prep Boarding Housemaster/mistress and Gapper team to supervise and support the Prep Boarders.

The successful candidates should have a high level of experience in playing and/or coaching Netball, Hockey, Football or Cricket (these are the flagship sports at the College; however, other sporting experience may be suitable). They will be required to take part in the Prep Sports programme throughout the week, supporting the Head of Prep Sports and PE with organising and preparing for Games during the week, alongside attending Wednesday fixtures.

Contract: This role is offered on a fixed-term contract from 1st September 2021 for up to 12 months.

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, for 35 weeks per year (during term-time only, plus one additional week to assist with pre-season training). The actual times of work are subject to flexibility and will be agreed directly with the Head of Prep Sports and PE. 

Rate of Pay: £15,689.66 inclusive of 4.2 weeks’ paid holiday (pay is split equally over 12 months).
