North Cambridge Academy is looking to appoint a full time and a part time Sports Technician to provide sport and fitness activities to students, staff and the local community. Applicants should be reliable, able to provide excellent customer care and the ability to effectively organise their own time. Candidates should be interested in all aspects of sport and experience of working in the sports industry is desirable. 

Key tasks include general supervision of the Sports Centre, ensuring the safe set up and dismantling of sports equipment and basic maintenance of sporting equipment. The post holder will have responsibility for the stock control of sports centre equipment. The post holder will be required to assist with site duties and general grounds work. The post holder will be required to undertake front of house and administrative duties, which include use of the centre booking system and cash register.

Applicants should hold an up to date First Aid qualification, or be prepared to attend the appropriate course as required. Applicants must be prepared to undergo training to drive the academy mini-bus.

North Cambridge Academy has working relationships with Cambridge Tennis Academy, Norwich City Football Club, Cambridge Gymnastics Association, Cambridge United Football Club, British Cycling, Cambridge Junior Cycling and Anglia Ruskin University. There is an on-site state of the art, fully equipped gymnastics facility. Other sporting facilities include: A brand new judo centre, flood lit tennis courts, a large sports hall and extensive rugby and football pitches.

North Cambridge Academy moved into a brand new state of the art building two years ago, which affords us an excellent working and learning environment. We are situated to the north of the city, approximately a mile from the centre of Cambridge. There is easy access from the A14 and we are
