Trinity Academy Cathedral has been working in partnership with Trinity MAT since 2016, formally joining the Trust in March 2018. The progress made has been outstanding - a real success story. In 2016 the Academy were 14th out of 18 secondary schools (in Wakefield LA) in terms of academic progress and also undersubscribed.  Trinity Academy Cathedral is now the highest performing academy in Wakefield and has been in the top 10% nationally for the last two years. In 2019 we were awarded the TES Secondary School of the Year. In 2022 were were awarded 'Outstanding' following an Ofsted inspection

At Cathedral we teach our students to embrace our vision statement ‘Everything is possible’. We encourage students to be ambitious and inquisitive in their learning, understanding that resilience is a key quality to develop.

We are extremely privileged to have two pathways. The first is our broad and balanced Cathedral main pathway which most students follow. However, we also have our CAPA Juniors programme. This enables young people with a real desire to pursue a career in the Arts to gain a solid grounding in this field whilst still receiving a formal education.

As a result of our achievements and out approach to learning, it is a very exciting time to be considering joining Trinity Academy Cathedral.   We can offer candidates the opportunity to work in partnership with the Principal and the senior leadership team, teachers in the school and other professionals across the trust (including the Trinity Institute of Education School and West Yorkshire Maths Hub).

The working environment is supported by committed, hardworking and supportive colleagues who are focused on improving outcomes for our students. As an academy we have high expectations of staff, we expect staff to challenge our students and themselves. We set high standards and aim to display these in all that we do. Working for Trinity Academy Cathedral is rewarding, we can offer a fantastic environment, excellent CPD programmes and a range of opportunities to progress. These ambitions are shared across all schools within the trust.
