Job overview

The work of a Student Support Teacher is often challenging and varied and involves teaching either individuals or small groups of students within, or outside the class, preparing lessons and resources, collaborating with the classroom teachers, other Learning Support teachers and Heads of Department to define appropriate activities in relation to the curriculum and student support plans, assessing work and carrying out assessments whenever necessary.


The successful candidate will have working experience with Early Childhood and Early Primary Level students, and understand the acquisition of literacy and numeracy skills in the Early Years, and will have experience providing the appropriate interventions in the Early Years. and will be an excellent learning support practitioner. He/She is dedicated to enabling each child to achieve the highest possible standards.


What is required and what we’re looking for

·    Teaching qualification in Early Childhood Education

·    3-5 years teaching experience preferred

·    Knowledge in an international context is desirable

·    Culturally sensitive, tolerant and patient

·    Positive work ethic

·    Positive, proactive and independent work ethic
