The Post

This is an important role for you, for our school and for some of our more vulnerable students. The successful candidate will take on the role of lead worker for the internal exclusion room. The role requires a commitment to doing the best for our vulnerable young people, providing stability, structure and support for them.

  • have strong interpersonal, teamworking skills
  • be keen and able to support school behaviour protocols
  • be self-motivated and able to work independently to manage a small group of young people
  • be enthusiastic and optimistic about young people and their future
  • be able to build positive stable caring relationships with young people

Welcome to Stoke Newington School & Sixth Form, an excellent 11-19 comprehensive school. Our school has a great reputation and has strong longstanding relationships with the community. During our recent Ofsted inspection (July 2022) the school was recognised as continuing to be a Good school. There were many strengths highlighted in the report including;

Stoke Newington School is situated in the stunning area of Stoke Newington, Hackney. We are a one-minute walk from the picturesque Clissold Park, and a two-minute walk from Church Street, which has a number of restaurants and cafes, as well as charity shops and boutiques. Transport links are good – with Stoke Newington and Canonbury overground stations, and Finsbury Park underground station all within 20-minute walks. Bus links are also excellent.
