Subject Leader for English

The Role

The Governors wish to appoint a dedicated, experienced, confident and imaginative subject leader to join the talented, committed and supportive staff team at this ambitious and successful special school.  The post will involve leading and managing English & Literacy across all key stages and teaching across key stage 3, 4 and 5. Applications from staff currently working in mainstream schools are very welcome.  

Therefore if you:  

• have a real passion for teaching English and literacy to children with SEN 

• are confident and have the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to teach across the ability range (p levels to GCSE/Level 3) including nationally recognised accreditations  

• consistently deliver lessons that are of the highest quality and ensure all pupils are enabled to make excellent progress  

• are highly motivated, energetic and have the desire to become involved in all aspects of school life

Application Process

Applications must include a letter highlighting strengths and experience. A Gloucestershire County Council application form will also need to be completed.
