About the role

Join our fast-paced international environment.  As HOD you will ensure the high quality delivery of languages at Key Stage 3, IGCSE at Key Stage 4 and International Baccalaureate programmes at Key Stage 5. You will challenge our students to set ambitious targets for themselves and seek out and implement innovative teaching practices to enhance the student experience and outcomes.  Ability and experience in teaching French and Spanish is essential.  We are truly an inclusive school and therefore, experience of teaching students with additional learning needs is advantageous.

About you

Able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will bring a university degree, a recognised teaching qualification and considerable teaching experience to the table. You will ideally have experience in leading a language department or subject in the past.  Committed and creative, you will be reflective on your own teaching and student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative methods to raise the school’s level of achievement.  You will have experience in leading a department to ensure strong outcomes for students in languages and across the school as a Middle Leader of the school.

Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for Singapore.

Selection Process

The closing date for application is 16 April 2021. There is likely to be at least two stages to the interviews conducted by Teams or Zoom.
