Beechwood is an oversubscribed school and founding partner of The Schelwood Multi-Academy Trust. We are a vibrant and diverse school where students, staff and parents collaborate to create a strong community which has great ambition and is determined to achieve the highest of standards.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, innovative and highly effective colleague to lead this curriculum area and continue to drive up standards in the department. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious colleague who will be able to work effectively within a team, have the ability to lead a team and will be able to secure improvements rapidly with excellent outcomes for our young people

This post will best suit a colleague who has the passion and commitment to secure success for all. We will consider applications from current experienced practitioners looking to enhance their leadership and those colleagues wishing to develop further. Beechwood School is a co-educational secondary school located in the Britwell area of Slough and was established in 1982 when the former Haymill and Warren Field Secondary schools merged on the Warren Field site. The current school was built under the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) scheme and completed in 2007. Students and staff are proud of the large and extensive facility the school operates in.

In October 2016 Beechwood School and Herschel Grammar School joined together as founding partners of The Schelwood Multi-Academy Trust. Our Trust is an exciting and innovative partnership of two co-educational secondary schools - Herschel Grammar is a selective school and Beechwood a community school both founding partners.

At both schools our aim is for our students to have a great and memorable educational experience via access to a curriculum that supports outstanding learning, development and achievement in both academia and personal development. Our school communities are diverse academically, socially, culturally indeed in every dimension and we celebrate this.
