Salary: Leadership pay scale L1 to L6 dependant on experience. (£37,165 to £47,735 per annum based on full time)

South Hunsley School and Sixth Form College are seeking to appoint to the role of Subject Leader of Music to commence January 2022. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Music Department as a middle leader. We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to promote the highest standards of teaching and learning to support students of all backgrounds and abilities.

South Hunsley is a genuinely outstanding school where everyone has the highest possible aspirations. South Hunsley is a very large, heavily over-subscribed secondary school with over 2100 students on roll, including 430 in the sixth form. We are fortunate to work with fantastic students, an outstanding staff and supportive parents. The school was judged to be outstanding by Ofsted in 2013. In each of the last 3 years, our Progress 8 figure has been in the range of +0.49 to +0.59 and we have won the Pupil Premium Award for Yorkshire and the Humber in 2 of the last 4 years. Our sixth form goes from strength to strength and this summer we were placed in the top 10% of providers according to ALPS. We have an outstanding programme of personal development and extra-curricular activities and in 2016 we were rated as the third best state school for sport.
