Subject Leader of Design Technology

(MPS/UPS) + TLR 2.b (£4,783.00)

We have a great opportunity for an exceptional and dynamic practitioner to lead our Design Technology department from September 2021. This is a full time and permanent position.

This is a key role to further develop excellent teaching, learning and assessment practices and to raise attainment and progress at all key stages. The successful applicant will be able to lead Design Technology across the full age and ability range up to and including Key Stage 5. This role will provide significant professional development, academic challenge and the opportunity to work within a vibrant learning community.

The King Edward VI School based in Morpeth, is approximately 15 minutes north of Newcastle upon Tyne. We provide education for over 1400 students from Years 9-13, with a thriving Sixth Form of around 450 students. As one of the top ranking schools in the North East of England for academic achievement, we pride ourselves on being a fully inclusive and truly comprehensive school, built on traditional principles and high standards.
