Northampton High School are seeking a passionate and well-qualified individual to join their highly successful languages team as a Subject Leader of Spanish. 

You will teach Spanish from KS3 to A Level, delivering lessons which are challenging and thought-provoking with a strong emphasis on creativity and collaboration. You will also be responsible for leading academic and extracurricular activities, which will involve close liaison with the Head of the Languages faculty. This will include planning and reviewing the Spanish curriculum throughout the school.

You will be passionate about teaching, possess excellent curriculum and subject knowledge and have exciting ideas about MFL teaching and the ways in which Spanish can be further developed and encouraged across the whole school.

The ability to teach other subjects such as French, German, Latin and Classical Civilisation would be beneficial, particularly one or both of French/German to at least GCSE.

Northampton High School, part of the Girls' Day School Trust (GDST), is one of the oldest girls’ schools in the country, with a tradition of pioneering in girls’ education going back to its foundation in 1878.

Northampton High School is an independent, selective girls’ day school for pupil aged two to 18. It is part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST), a registered charity and proprietor of 25 independent schools, and has approximately 500 pupils. It is located in Hardingstone, Northampton. Before moving to its current, purpose-built location set over 27 acres, it was based in Derngate, in Northampton town centre.
