Subject Specialist for Food Technology

Main Scale +TLR2c (£2,720)

Required for Easter 2019

We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and experienced teacher of Food Technology and DT.  This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and committed teacher to lead a small, well-resourced department.  There is also full time technician to support in practical lessons.

Through the Priority Schools Building Programme and local authority expansion funding we will be adding an additional sports hall a new food technology room.

Royal Liberty School is a small comprehensive, 11-16 school for boys, located close to Gidea Park Station.  We pride ourselves on our strong sense of community and the excellent behaviour of the students.  As a result of the popularity of the school we expanded by one form of entry from September 2018.

We are part of the Success for All Multi Academy Trust with Redden Court School and Sanders School.

As an employee you will be covered by our excellent well-being support and medical cover programme through the School Advisory Service (SAS).

The Royal Liberty School is a popular, over-subscribed 11-16 school for boys.  We are located a short walk from Gidea Park Station on a beautiful grade II listed site.

In 2017 we joined the Success for All Educational Multi Academy Trust.  We are making extensive use of our partnership with Redden Court School to continually raise standards of teaching and learning and student outcomes.

From September 2018 we are expanding by 1 form of entry (to 5 forms) to meet the increasing demand for places.  We have received funding for an extensive refurbishment of our buildings.

We are a small school and have a strong sense of community.  Boys are proud to be a part of the school and this reflected on their excellent behaviour and eagerness to take on roles of responsibility and to represent us in the local community.

Staff and students have excellent relationships based on mutual respect.  All members of the school community are ambitious to succeed.  Students feel supported to achieve the very best they can and encouraged to develop the skills and qualities they need to be successful every stage of their life.
