Good Samaritan Catholic College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Support Teacher - Inclusive Education to form part of the Foundation staff of the College in 2019. This continuing position will intially be a part time role (.5 FTE/5 days per fortnight) and will become a fulltime position as enrolments increase. It is anticipated that the role will be fulltime within 3 years. This position is being readvertised. Previous applicants are welcome to reapply for the position. The successful applicant will: have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education have or be eligible for accreditation to teach in a Catholic School. hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers. be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment. be capable of working in a P-12 context across all year levels and be willing to participate in full P-12 College events and practices where appropriate. be flexible and forward thinking in their approach to classrooms and fully conversant with current best practice in learning and teaching. For BCE employees this is demonstrated practice and understanding of the Effective and Expected Practices of the BCE Model of Pedagogy. For all other applicants this is demonstrated knowledge and application of the model of pedagogy used in their school and an understanding of the BCE Model of Pedagogy.

Good Samaritan Catholic College is a P-12 College, planned to open in 2019 on the Sunshine Coast.  As part of Brisbane Catholic Education, our co-educational College aims to be a welcoming and supportive community of people who respect ourselves, each other and the environment.

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019 


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
