Teacher Aide - St Joseph's College, Coomera

The successful applicant will:

• have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;

• currently hold or be eligible to hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card; and

• be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

We are seeking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Teacher Aide, to undertake a diverse range of tasks within the learning environment. This position will support Teachers in Year 7 in providing quality programs and strategies for students with various needs, which address their educational and developmental needs. The successful applicants will display proven communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to work collaboratively as part of a cohesive team. Flexibility, creativity and following directions, balanced with displaying initiative, are essential elements of the position. Estimated Start Date:   Commencing October 2019

Position Tenure:   Fixed Term

Weeks Worked:  School term weeks only - holidays unpaid

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):   Term 4, 2019 (with possibility of extension in 2020)

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required:   8.30am to 12.30pm - Monday to Friday (20 hrs p/w)

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate:   School Officer Award - Level 3

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
