Position Information 

Catherine Field Public School (provisional name) is scheduled to open at the start of 2021 with classes in Kindergarten through to Year 6. Built to meet the population of the Catherine Fields/Oran Park growth corridor, the school will cater for up to 1,000 students and will include a support unit. Housed in state-of-the art facilities, the school will have a strong focus on high quality teaching and learning with the authentic integration of technology.

The school will feature flexible, innovative teaching and learning spaces designed to support collaboration, communication, deep inquiry and genuine understanding of subject matter. It is anticipated that the school environment will continually evolve with rapidly growing enrolments, recruitment of personnel, development and refinement of procedures and collaborative visioning processes.

Catherine Field Public School will have a commitment to excellence and achievement in all areas of education to shape learning experiences that are authentic, differentiated, challenging and engaging.

 

  
Specific Selection Criteria 

Approval to teach infants and primary (K-6) with demonstrated ability to deliver high quality, differentiated literacy and numeracy instruction to improve student outcomes using evidence-based and data informed practices.


Willingness to work collaboratively in co-teaching partnerships and a demonstrated ability to implement future-focused pedagogies and authentically embed Information and Communication Technology (ICT) within a flexible learning space.


Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organisation skills with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team and to build relationships with students, staff and parents.


Willingness to contribute to and/or lead extra-curricular or whole school initiatives to enhance student wellbeing and support the development of a new school.

  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
