We’re looking for an outstanding qualified Teacher for ‘Summit School’ based at Cygnet Joyce Parker hospital, a new tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) unit. You would be joining a team of subject specialist teachers as we look to expand our provision and broaden our curriculum. Ability to teach core subjects or humanities and/or experience as a post-16 specialist would be desirable.

Your Day-to-Day…

  • Design & implement learning programmes for each student
  • Teach small groups & liaise with other teachers to plan & organise teaching 
  • Set goals, mark work, monitor student progress & record achievement 
  • Attend multidisciplinary meetings & write progress reports 
  • Evaluate own teaching critically to improve effectiveness
  • Ensure the implementation of policies & best practice
  • Promote the general progress and wellbeing of all students.

You are… 

  • A qualified teacher (QTS)
  • Able to inspire & motivate students, & personalise learning
  • Experienced in planning & teaching effectively using a variety of strategies
  • Positive, consistent, committed & can contribute to a supportive, dynamic environment  
  • Knowledgeable in safeguarding, health & safety & the national curriculum for their subject
  • A specialist in any of the following areas: English 
  • Organised, professional, flexible, energetic & conscientious.
