Job overview

Crieff High School would like to appoint a Digital Learning to work as a member of the teaching team in the excellent facilities of Strathearn Community Campus.

We welcome applications from teachers of any subject who have excellent knowledge of digital equipment and software.

Applicants should be experienced in the use of apple, google and microsoft education products.

They should also have experience of using innovative hardware to deliver cross curricular learning and of delivering whole school projects.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Develop and take forward a digital learning strategy within the school.
  • Deliver digital learning skills to pupils, staff, parents and members of our community
  • Work with groups of students with identified need for digital learning support.
  • Support other departments to make use of digital technologies across the curriculum.
  • Work with associated primary schools.
  • Support Continuous Lifelong Profesional Learning.

About Crieff High School

Crieff High School is a mixed, mainstream, non-denominational, secondary school with a sixth form in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It caters to students aged 11 to 18 and has approximately 594 pupils enrolled. 

Crieff High School is part of the Strathearn Community Campus, opened in November 2009. It’s one of 11 secondary schools administered by Perth and Kinross Council. The school boasts indoor sports facilities including a heated swimming pool, squash courts, fitness suite, dance studio and sports halls, playing fields and a recording studio and theatre area.

The school’s main aim is to provide a caring, friendly community and to make sure the staff and pupils have a positive relationship. They hope to help each pupil achieve their full potential and to make them understand that everyone is as important as the other and deserves respect. It also works to recognise and celebrate achievements and teaches each student to be tolerant, compassionate and resilient. 

The curriculum is based on three main components: the formal, informal and hidden. The formal curriculum focuses on skills for the world of work and provides opportunities for outdoor learning. The informal curriculum help students develop their individual talents, be it music, sports, drama or leadership. The hidden curriculum is the interactions member of the school community have with each other.
