Job overview

In September 2019, Senior School Leidschenveen will move into the first phase of the new building, which will house our two year groups (Yrs7 & 8) of approximately 100 students. Due to our growth we are looking for an English and Drama specialist. The ability to teach Geography up to Key Stage 3 will be seen as an advantage. This is a unique opportunity; SSL benefits from the vision, security, systems and excellent reputation of an established school whilst offering an exciting opportunity to have a pioneering impact on the lives of our students. This full-time position begins September 2019.

The BSN focuses on organic growth and has prided itself for always having a place for any student wanting a British curriculum education since 1931. To meet increasing demand and ensure quality of the teaching provision, the BSN is expanding its Junior School Leidschenveen (JSL) campus to include a brand new senior school. This development is testament to the BSN’s ambition to create a learning continuum for ages 3-18 with purpose-built design.

Your initial contact time may be lower than you might expect in a fully established school, but you must have a willingness and interest in developing the English curriculum for future years (GCSE and above) as well as going beyond the norm to ensure the students have the experience and education they deserve.

If you are excited about what you have read so far and want to make history as one of the first teachers at SSL, submit your CV and motivational letter addressed to James Oxlade, Headteacher, indicating how your experience to date has prepared you for this position.

Applications should reach us by 24th February at the latest but we reserve the right to proceed more quickly should applications from suitable candidates be received before this date.
