About St Patrick's Catholic Primary School

St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School is a mixed, non-selective, Roman Catholic, independent primary school in New South Wales, serving students from the age of 4-11. The primary school is situated in Griffith and has approximately 480 children on record and 44 members of staff.

St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School opened in 1921 with an enrolment of 80 students. The school prides itself on its welcoming community, which sees students benefit from a high-quality education with the help and support of dedicated teachers. All members of staff at the school are committed Christians.

The primary school offers modern learning facilities, including a well-stocked library, computers, a multi-purpose hall and expansive outside grounds for play and sports. 

Curriculum

The Catholic primary school offers a broad and balanced curriculum designed to teach students the skills and knowledge required for a successful start in life, following the NSW Education Standards Authority syllabus. Those requiring additional support benefit from dedicated programmes, which include a reading recovery programme for children needing assistance with reading, a talented children programme and an English as a second language programme. There is a special needs programme for pupils identified with specific learning difficulties, which provides individualised support dependent on their needs. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are on offer for pupils to gain new experiences outside of the classroom, increase their confidence and learn new skills. These include chess club, music lessons and choir practice.
