Teacher Health & Food Technology

The department is a vibrant and successful member of the Faculty of Science, Business and Food & Health
Technology. The faculty staffing quota is currently 4.7FTE with some HFT teaching input from one of our
managers. The successful candidate will teach the majority of HFT classes from S1 to S6, including HE, HFT,
Practical Cookery Skills and Hospitality. The exact distribution of classes will be agreed with Head Teacher
to match the experience of the successful candidate. The department has an adjoining community Café
which runs in-school, community and corporate hospitality events.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the necessary characteristics of energy, enthusiasm, excellent
learning & teaching, good communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to effective
teamwork. All staff are encouraged to continue with the professional development and to make an
effective contribution to the running of the school through participation in meetings for staff and
occasional working parties.
