Values and vision

Stonelaw High School believes every one of its students is entitled to a broad and deep general education, whatever their level and ability. The school places a high level of importance on literacy and numeracy skills. It aims for its teachers to make learning relevant to students and to help them to see how to apply what they have learned in lessons to their lives beyond the classroom. It is hoped students will develop the ability to link knowledge in one subject area to another.

Education Scotland

“Staff have recently improved the support they give to those who have difficulty with learning. Young people feel safe, secure and cared for in school. They think they are treated fairly and with respect… Young people contribute very well to the wide range of school events and activities. They value the opportunities provided by staff to take part in sports, fundraising and helping others.”
