We are seeking to recruit to the above posts - experienced, inspirational and creative teachers who want to make a difference. If you, like us, are passionate about improving the life chances of our young people, then this could be the right place for you. West SILC is a very successful all age generic special school.

You will offer us:

  • Outstanding practice in relation to teaching children with moderate learning difficulties at low primary expectations (and some additional needs e.g. Downs syndrome, Autism … )
  • The ability to plan and deliver Science, English and some additional foundation subjects such as Humanities – this role would suit a sound primary practitioner, as well as one with a secondary background
  • The skills to deliver engaging and fun learning
  • Experience of differentiating learning and inclusion of SEN children
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High expectations of pupil achievement
  • Excellent relationships with all pupils, families and staff
  • A commitment to professional development
  • Confidence, passion and enthusiasm
