Position Information 

Moss Vale Public School, (enrolment 478, 6% Aboriginal students) is a semi–rural school located in the Southern Highlands of NSW. The school has 18 mainstream classes, six support classes and an early intervention unit. A dedicated and caring staff of early career and experienced teachers and support staff provide a broad and balanced curriculum that focuses on developing the whole child. Specific Selection Criteria 
  • Approval to teach (primary) library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education. Approval to teach infants and/or primary with knowledge and experience in the operating systems of a school library.
  • Ability to initiate and lead innovative programs to enrich the library learning environment, enhancing learning to foster a love of literature.
  • Expertise in technology to develop information literacy skills collaboratively across the school, including supporting children who have a range of disabilities and learning difficulties.
  • Willingness to contribute to whole school programs in public speaking and debating.

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 24 months.
