Teacher Librarian

Green Oasis School is a primary only school with a history of over 21 years in the centre of Shenzhen. Catering mainly to local children, the curriculum is built around the NC for England. The teaching of Chinese language, culture and history is also valued at the school. 

As a CIS Accredited school, GOS has a positive reputation amongst local parents. There is a pathway through to ‘A” Levels for students who come to our school. 

GOS is continuing to expand since becoming a dedicated primary school in 2020. Class sizes are 22 in Years 1-4 and 24 in Years 5 and 6. All classes except Chinese are taught in English. The level of English at the school is very good with EAL support across the school where needed. The school  Vision is to 'Educate, Nurture, Inspire Excellence' and this is part of all we do at the school. 

We are seeking a vibrant, enthusiastic teacher librarian for our two libraries in the primary school. Reading is a cornerstone of our school with children being encouraged to read in both English and Chinese. 

Shenzhen is a very comfortable and easy place to live in China. GOS being in the heart of the city means staff are close to all amenities with good public transport links to other areas. It is a green city with clear skies and an abundance of parks and recreational areas to explore.

We are offering 2 year renewable contracts with schooling for up to children from Year 1 until ‘A’ Levels at our related schools. Housing is included as well as other benefits.
