Selection Criteria:

  • Accreditation to teach RE in the Wagga Wagga Diocese and a commitment to the Catholic Faith or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with Parish, staff, parents, students and the wider Henschke community.
  • An effective classroom practitioner with a sound knowledge of the curriculum and contemporary pedagogy.
  • Evidence of effectively integrating technology into teaching and learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and willingness to contribute to a professional learning community.
  • Ability to incorporate appropriate behaviour management strategies.
  • Experience in working in a collaborative teaching team is an advantage.

Catholic Education, Diocese of Wagga Wagga serves twenty-six primary schools and five secondary colleges (2 of which offer boarding facilities). Our staff support principals and school staff in their work around maximising student learning, growth and development.


Primary schools in the diocese are separated into two regions each supported by a School Services Consultant – Primary. The Northern Region encompasses the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area and the Wagga Wagga area. The Southern Region encompasses the Albury and South-West areas and also includes Sacred Heart Kooringal and Henschke Primary in Wagga Wagga. Secondary schools in the diocese are supported by a School Services Consultant – Secondary.
