Position Information 

Seven Hills High School is situated on traditional Darug land with an enrolment of 380 students, including 7% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and currently two support classes, with a third class in 2022. Staff are committed to a quality, inclusive learning environment where all students and staff are valued, challenged and supported to maximise their personal growth and potential.

Seven Hills High School is a member of the Nirimba Collegiate which includes Quakers Hill High School, Riverstone High School and Wyndham College. In 2021, the school began transitioning from a Year 7-10 high school to a comprehensive high school, with the addition of Year 11. Year 12 classes will commence in 2022. As a member of the Nirimba Collegiate, Seven Hills High School offers cross campus senior curriculum and learning opportunities for students. Strong links exist with surrounding primary schools, and the school also collaborates with seven other high schools across the Nirimba Learning Community.

The successful applicant will be appointed to the Nirimba Collegiate, and initially based at Seven Hills High School.

  
Specific Selection Criteria 

Approval to teach Mathematics 7-12.

Extensive knowledge of curriculum and assessment with the capacity to collaborate and deliver innovative, differentiated and high-quality teaching and learning strategies to engage a diverse range of students.

Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a collaborative member of the Mathematics faculty and contribute to whole school programs.

Demonstrated capacity to integrate technology into effective classroom practice.

  
Conditions 

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
