Position Information 

Wadalba Community School is proud to be a comprehensive K-12 community school (enrolment 1641 students including 14% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students). We currently have over 300 students in our primary section and over 1300 students in our secondary section which allows us to offer a broad range of learning programs.

We acknowledge the Darkinjung people as traditional custodians of the land upon which our school is built and our school works closely with our local Aboriginal community to support our Indigenous students. Our school also supports multicultural education through cultural affirmation.

The school has many specialist facilities including a recording studio, aquaponics centre and agriculture plot, vocational education facilities and dance studio. The school caters for a diverse range of student needs and has disability access including ramps and a lift. There is also a support unit on site that assists students with additional needs. Flagship programs include AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), STEaM, TSP (Targeted Sports Program) and CAPA High potential and gifted education program. The school is well supported by families, community and an active P & C.

Specific Selection Criteria 

​Approval to teach Secondary Music.

Proven ability to develop and implement high impact teaching and learning programs that support the needs of a diverse range of learners, in particular stages 5 & 6.

Willingness to contribute to whole school and faculty initiatives such as vocal groups, or band.

Exceptional collaboration, communication and organisational skills to foster positive relationships with the whole school community.


An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
