Albemarle Independent College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced teacher of A-level Biology to join our highly successful Science department to start in March/April 2021.
Albemarle has an exceptional reputation for achieving excellent A-level and GCSE results, considerably above the national average. The Science department, which comprises Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology, attracts many students who wish to pursue challenging degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Natural Sciences and Psychology. Applicants should have at least 3 years relevant teaching experience, and be prepared to teach A-level and AS-level Biology. The ability to also teach GCSE Chemistry/Science will be advantageous.

Most students have high aspirations and so excellent exam results are a key USP of the college. Teaching is in small groups of no more than 8 students. The college is inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), from whom we have received an outstanding commendation for the last 3 years.
