We wish to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic full-time teacher of Maths, who is interested in teaching Maths mainly to post 16 (A level students). Our A level students are highly ambitious and well-motivated students and you will enjoy the intellectual stimulation of teaching Maths to an exceptionally high standard. Applications from NQTs and from experienced teachers are equally welcome.

Maths/Further Maths is an extremely popular subject with at A level, with nearly 400 students studying the subject. Achievement is excellent, with the majority of students achieving A* in both Maths and Further Maths. A small number of students also take STEP maths each year.

The A level Maths team is very strong and you will receive excellent induction and support to enable you to thrive in this school.

We wish to employ a Teacher of Maths who is:

• A Maths specialist with an ability to teach Maths and/or Further Maths at A level

• Passionate about the subject and has excellent subject knowledge to challenge and enthuse our highly able and ambitious students

• A confident and highly effective classroom teacher, sensitive to pupils’ needs and with high expectations of what can be achieved.

• A team player who is capable of working closely with the rest of the department.
