Purpose of the role

Cathedral Schools Trust (CST) is seeking to appoint a Teacher of Art (0.3) from 1st September 2019. 

This is a unique opportunity to join a team that will create and establish a new school and create a brand new Art Department.

Applications are welcome from newly qualified or experienced teachers to teach Art at Trinity Academy. In the first year there will be 4 classes of 30 students receiving  2 art lessons for each class per week. Close collaboration across the secondary schools in the Trust will help with developing Schemes of Work and Assessment criteria - we will benchmark progress of students at Trinity with these schools.

As we are a new school there is a lot of flexibility in the nature of this role eg it could be combined with other part-time roles across the school etc. We would be open to creative conversations regarding this.  Fundamentally we require an excellent art teacher, the rest we can be explored in your application letter and interview. For an outstanding candidate there is also the opportunity to be an SLE in the Teaching Schools Alliance of the Cathedral Schools Trust.
