Job Title: Teacher of Art

Responsible to: Head of Art

Hours of work: Part Time (0.2), term-time 34 weeks, and occasional days for training/inset outside of the 34 weeks and open days.

Outline of Department

We are a dynamic and innovative department, catering for pupils aged 7-18. We offer pupils the creative outlet and specialist knowledge to enable them to work with a high degree of autonomy. We have two large multi-purpose art rooms and a 6th Form Studio and exhibition space. Art is highly popular at both GCSE, AS and A level and a number of students progress onto Art college and University each year.

The Role

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Teacher of Art (NQT or experienced). This is an exciting and important role with the school. We deliver a broad based multi-disciplinary course where pupils are encouraged to experiment, take risks and develop an independent approach to their studies. The post holder will support subject initiatives; monitor, assess and report upon student progress and contribute to raising subject standards within the department and the School.

The School currently has 240 pupils and since 2014, has been under the ownership of Cavendish Education Ltd.
