The Post:
NLGS are seeking a passionate and inspirational teacher to join our forward-thinking Art department in its Prep (Primary) Section. We are looking for a teacher who has the skills and desire to develop and nurture every child in their care. The ideal candidate will deliver consistently good teaching and learning in order to help all students to achieve excellent academic results.
You will be joining a well-resourced small department that has a strong focus on raising achievement. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher. The position is advertised as Part Time (1 Day - FRIDAY) but can be expanded for the right candidate in the next academic year.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- The ability to teach Art to the young children
- The ability to motivate pupils and achieve excellent learning
- Excellent organisational and ICT skills
- The capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Experience with liaising with private music teachers
- A passion for the subject and the ability to share this with young people

North London Grammar School is a mixed, non-denominational, 7-18, independent Prep and Secondary school, situated in Hendon in London.
In 2006, the school was opened as Wisdom School in Tottenham, Haringey, with provision for 100 students. It then moved to a new site in Hendon with state-of-the-art design and technology, and adopted the new name North London Grammar School.
