Job overview

Haberdashers' Adams

“An Outstanding School” in all four categories – Ofsted November 2013

We are a boy's school with co-educational Sixth Form. There are currently 960 pupils on roll; approximately 100 of these are boarders. The Sixth Form has about 340 students of whom just over 100 are girls.

Due to our school expansion we are seeking to recruit an outstanding Teacher of Art for the Department from September 2021.  Ideally, they will be able to contribute to teaching across the full age range from Year 7 to Year 13.   This is a temporary part-time (0.35) post fixed-term for 1 year, however, if candidates can offer another subject, such as Design, we may be able to offer them a larger contract.  We also wish to appoint someone who is interested in being involved in the wide range of extra-curricular activities that are an important part of the life of this school.

Newly qualified teachers will follow a full programme of induction to prepare for Qualified Teacher Status. For more experienced applicants there is a programme of staff development and in-service training in the school; we are committed to the professional development of all our teaching staff.

For further information please contact the Deputy Head i/c Curriculum, Dr Pack, on peter.pack@adamsgs.uk

Closing date for applications is midday on Monday 8th February 2021.

Interviews will be held during week commencing 22nd February 2021.  We will advise nearer the time if they will be via  Zoom.
