The College is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, high performing and enthusiastic individual to the full-time post of Teacher of Biology, who will lead and inspire students. This is a post to join a team of professionals in a growing subject area. 

SCIENCE at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College 

At Notre Dame there are four Science departments each with a Head of Department across Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The College has also recently launched a new T Level in Health to complement the existing and growing provision of T Levels. The T Level Health is under the new T Level Health & Science route, with a number of units dedicated to Science. All Science departments at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College are extremely high performing with a track record of achieving Outstanding ALPs value added for the last three years.

The Biology department offers Biology A Level using the AQA specification and is highly popular with approximately 390 students. All the departments are lively, dynamic and progressive in terms of their approach with a strong emphasis on encouraging a positive rapport between staff and students in the pursuit of academic success.  There is a friendly and professional atmosphere within all the Science departments and a wealth of experience with a strong encouragement to undertake CPD. This is an exciting time to join the Biology department and an opportunity to help build upon the outstanding resources initiated by the team. Ideally applicants should have a track record of outstanding success teaching Biology.

We would welcome applications from recently qualified teachers and ECT’s.
This is a full-time position, however part-time hours (FTE 0.6 or 0.8) may be considered for the right candidate.
