We are a boy's school with co-educational Sixth Form. There are currently 940 pupils on roll; approximately 100 of these are boarders. The Sixth Form has about 340 students of whom just over 100 are girls.
The Department is looking to recruit an outstanding Teacher of Biology who can teach A-level in the Lower Sixth and Upper Sixth to a high standard. Those who wish to also teach lower school are welcome to apply - we can be flexible about the teaching load for a suitable candidate.
This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave from September 2021 to May 2022.
This post is not suitable for NQTs.
We also wish to appoint someone who is interested in being involved in the wide range of extra-curricular activities that are an important part of the life of this school.

Haberdashers' Adams (formerly Adams' Grammar School) is a co-ed selective state grammar school in the market town of Newport, Shropshire, founded in 1656.The School welcomes boys aged 11-18 as day boys or boarders, and girls aged 16-18 as day girls in our Sixth Form.
Entrance to the School is highly competitive. The most common points of entry are via an 11+ examination or following GCSE exam results. Former pupils of the school are known as Old Novaportans.
