We are looking for a talented and driven specialist to join our thriving PE department.
The Bishop of Llandaff is an 11-18 co-educational Church-in-Wales High School. Located in the heart of Llandaff, the school is heavily oversubscribed and students attend from all over the city and in the surrounding authorities. Standards at the school are very high. In 2018, the school achieved outstanding examination results at both GCSE and A Level. At GCSE, 92% of students gained 5 or more A*-C grades at GCSE, with 82% including English Language and mathematics; 43% of students achieved 5 or more A*-A grades, while more than a third of students achieved 9 or more A*-A grades. The pass rate at A Level was 99%, with 86% gaining A*-C and 68% at A*-B and 34% of all grades at A*-A. However, the school is more than just about examination outcomes. Students take part in a broad range of activities that help them become "well-rounded" and our strong Christian ethos helps shape our students to become positive role models in our society. It genuinely is a happy place to learn and work!
The role has become available as the current post-holder has been appointed to Head of PE with effect from January 2019. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is suitably experienced and talented to help sustain excellence in PE both academically and in terms of extra-curricular participation. In addition to teaching PE, there is an expectation that the appointed person would be able to offer a second subject. Therefore, it would be helpful if candidates could identify this within their application.

Closing date for applications: 10th December 2018 at 12 noon with interviews on 14th December 2018.
