Job overview

We’re more than a school, we're a community hub.

More than a Teacher, you'll be an inspiration.

At the heart of Academy Transformation Trust, Mildenhall College Academy is more than just a school: we’re a community hub serving a semi-rural area. With wide-ranging after-school activities and free late transport home, we deliver a holistic education via our main site and separate Sixth Form Centre – and we do whatever it takes to help our students get ahead.

You will be crucial to helping us move from Good to Outstanding. We’ll look to you to deliver innovative learning strategies that inspire students and provide the kind of feedback that stimulates positive change – so we need an exceptional professional with real passion for Physical Education and deep dedication to transforming futures.

You could be an NQT. You could be a teacher with plenty of experience under your belt. Either way, you’ll bring a wealth of fresh ideas, a love of learning and CPD – and the drive and determination to make a lasting difference. In return, we can offer prospects that could take you anywhere within the academy – or across the Trust’s network of 23 academies.

For an informal chat or to arrange a visit, please contact Mrs P Garrad by email: pam.garrad@mca.attrust.org.uk

Closing date: Midday on Monday, 16th July 2018.

Academy Transformation Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and the successful applicant must undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure and reference checks.

Every child deserves an excellent education and to go to a school that understands them, allows them to thrive and be happy, and helps them to achieve academic success whatever their ability or circumstances. I firmly believe that this is achieved through inspiring teaching, a safe and caring environment, expert advice and guidance, and a wide range of high quality enrichment opportunities. Our aim is for all students to develop their knowledge, talents and values so that they can be successful and make a positive contribution to their community.

The academy vision is ‘working together, supporting individuals’. Fundamental to the success of all students is a strong, supportive partnership between the home and the academy. It is vital that communication is clear and regular, that parents/carers remain closely involved in their child’s education and that the academy shares information about their progress in a timely manner.
