Maternity Cover from 01/01/18
Ash Green School is a high-performing, friendly and oversubscribed 11-18 school (920 students on roll) located in Warwickshire, close to the border of Coventry.
We are seeking to appoint a talented, highly motivated and inspirational teacher of physical education to join our supportive team from January 2018 to cover a period of maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching across the key stages and a high level of commitment towards maintaining and developing our excellent extra-curricular activities is essential. Experience teaching GCSE and BTEC qualifications is preferable but not essential.
The newly appointed member of staff will be an excellent teacher with a passion and flair for the subject. He will be an ambitious, committed and hardworking team player who will support the school to raise the profile and ongoing commitment of the subject area and, more widely, the school. An interest in developing Rugby would be preferable, as we continue to develop this sport within our school.
We are proud of our varied curriculum, which we review and reflect upon based on students’ feedback. We aim to engage and meet the needs, yet challenge each and every student.
We have incredible students at Ash Green and are passionate about providing them with the best possible education; placing them at the heart of everything we do. Our students are well behaved, happy, engaging, inquisitive and are very proud to be Ash Green Students; equally impressive are our staff who work tirelessly to achieve our excellent results and to help each student truly achieve their best. We are extremely proud to have such wonderful colleagues and grateful for the life chances they are giving our young people.
We are very proud to be part of the Creative Education Trust (CET). As a CET Academy, we are constantly challenged to do better by our students and are supported in our ambitions by highly successful professionals who really understand what it takes to succeed in the world of education, design, commerce and crucially for this role STEM.
We see the investment in our staff as crucial as we look to build on previous successes for our students and the school. The successful candidate will be given fantastic career progression opportunities and continued investment from a caring senior management team who are keen to support staff to develop both personally and professionally.
Ash Green is a Good School with Outstanding leadership (Ofsted April 2013). In 2016 the Department for Education placed Ash Green in the top 16% of schools in England. Our Progress 8 score of +0.38 also place us in the top 5 highest performing schools in Coventry and Warwickshire.
