Job overview
Due to increased student numbers we are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and committed Business Studies and Accounting teacher. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing high quality teaching and learning at GCSE and A-Level. Business Studies is taught at KS4 and KS5. Accounting is taught at KS5 only in small classes of 10 or less.
The Ockendon Academy is a high performing, oversubscribed Academy which is constantly challenging itself to improve even further. We were rated as Good with Outstanding features by Ofsted in 2014, with behaviour rated as Outstanding.
Business Studies is a highly regarded department in the school that delivers excellent results. It is located within our state of the art Studio School and Sixth Form centre which enjoys excellent facilities and is equipped with the latest technology. The building is designed to reflect the workplace and includes a large open plan business centre which students use for project work, private study and networking.
The school also enjoys links with a wide range of employers.
