Icknield High School is a highly successful 11-16 mixed Academy with an excellent reputation, situated in pleasant grounds on the northern outskirts of town.
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, ambitious, inspirational and highly motivated Business Teacher to join our well-resourced and successful Business department.
Business is a popular subject and students achieve consistently achieve Outstanding results, with 80% achieving A*-C and 31% achieving at A*-A in 2018. The average progress score for the department is +1.37 placing the department outcomes in the top 2% nationally.
The successful candidate will be able to display and promote excellence in teaching and learning and have the potential to make a real difference to the outcomes of our students.

About Icknield High School
Located in the city of Luton, Bedfordshire, Icknield High School is a secondary academy, with a specialist status in art. Although the school has no sixth form, it has around 1400 pupils aged 11-16 in a co-educational setting, making it considerably larger than the average school of its type. Icknield School has an extremely culturally diverse catchment area, a fact reflected in the school’s student intake. Although the vast majority of teaching take place in school, a small number of students do make use of local off-site provision for particular subjects or needs.
