Our Curriculum

We offer a flexible curriculum to suit students requiring one and two-year A level programmes with regular testing, a maximum class size of 10 students and an outstanding pastoral system to support students and teachers alike.

The Role

Edgbaston College wishes to appoint an experienced Chemistry Teacher. The College is currently looking to increase its chemistry teaching capacity and appoint a new teacher. We would ideally want a Chemistry Teacher on between a x0.5 and x1.0 timetable.

This is a permanent position for an enthusiastic and academically capable A-Level Chemistry teacher starting in September 2023.

Job Description

The role requires you to teach students and support their learning; allowing them to achieve the best possible outcomes. You will develop, deliver, and support the College’s academic programmes in line with College standards and policies.

Job Requirements 

• A minimum of an upper second-class or equivalent degree in Chemistry or a Chemistry-related subject from a strong university 
• Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills 
• Ability to develop positive rapport with students 
• Previous teaching experience of A-Level Chemistry
• Commitment to the College's academic and career-focused ethos
