An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Chemist to join our successful Science faculty. You will have a passion for Science and the skills to engage students across the age and ability range.

The successful applicant will be confident in delivering GCSE Chemistry at KS4 and able to teach all of the science disciplines (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) at KS3.  The position will be offered as a fixed one term contract initially.  However, for a candidate with the right skill set this may be extended to the full academic year or become a permanent contract.  This will be discussed at the interview.

A Level teaching may be available to suitably qualified candidates from January. Science at Parmiter’s attracts a large number of students to the Sixth Form and there will be 20 A level Science teaching groups in September.  Over half the cohort study Triple Science at GCSE.  Attainment at GCSE and A level is consistently excellent. Having recently secured funding, the school is soon to start building a fantastic new Science block ensuring that we have outstanding facilities for staff and students.

Parmiter’s coordinates Teacher Training for the Herts and Bucks Teaching School Alliance and  offers a robust induction programme. We can offer the ideal candidate:

● Bespoke CPD to suit your career goals

● Competitive salary with London fringe allowance

● Highly talented and engaged students

● Lovely school grounds in leafy surrounds

● Support for completion of an MA, if desired

● An admission policy prioritising the children of staff.
